John and I happened upon, by happy chance you might say, a very recent book by Tom Wright, published since his move from being Bishop of Durham, to an academic position at St Andrews University.
The book is “How God became King” and is a stimulating, even groundbreaking, consideration of the gospel in light of the theology of the Kingdom. That should be a theme close to the heart of every Vineyard leader and so we commend it to you whole-heartedly. Published by SPCK it should be available to you through Vineyard Records below and you might just procure it in time to take on holiday . . . along with the usual selection of light-weight thrillers and somewhat more edifying reads !
