As people step into positions of responsibility and leadership within our movement, we have a wide range of support structures and programmes. These are designed to ensure that each person sets out on the right path, continues in their growth, maintains healthy rhythms and practises, and continues for the long run.
Support through our
National Structure
Our movement has five regions, within this, there are multiple Areas for each Region. These are created for support, ongoing training and equipping, plus relational strength that comes from doing ministry and life together.
The Area Leader’s role is to focus on the pastors in their Area, forging relationships, encouraging them and fostering a sense of Vineyard community and mission locally. This involves working with the Regional team to stir up vision while connecting with Pastors to facilitate growth, care, health and governance.
The Regional Leader carries vision, direction & spiritual responsibility for a Region. They also provide care, oversight and governance for their region – working through Area Leaders to offer vision, training, direction, care, connection, encouragement, advice and support.
Support for your
Spiritual Formation
All Senior Pastors are offered a Spiritual Director, trained and based within a Vineyard church and space at one of our Soul Care retreats.
Spiritual Directors are ‘companions on the way’ for those who are seeking to intentionally grow, develop and deepen their relationship with God. Spiritual Directors seek to help listen to what the Father is saying to those they walk alongside.
The second focus for spiritual formation is the offer of a Soul Care Retreat Programme that helps Senior Pastors to rest and recuperate in God’s presence but also teaching the spiritual skills and disciplines that will help them as they return to their pastoral ministry.
Support through
Coaching
Coaching is the process of coming alongside a person or team, to help them discover God’s agenda for their life & ministry and then co-operating with the Holy Spirit to see that agenda become a reality. It is an ongoing conversation that empowers a person or team to fully live out God’s calling upon their lives.
As a movement, we are currently offering coaching to all Church Planters, Pastors, Site Pastors, Worship Leaders, Youth Leaders and Emeritus Pastors. At the moment you must fall into one of these categories to receive regular coaching.
For Church Planters, we offer 9 monthly coaching sessions; for Pastors and Worship Leaders, we offer 6 monthly coaching sessions; for Youth Leaders, we offer 4 monthly coaching sessions, with the option to extend these if required; for Emeritus Pastors, we offer individual coaching sessions. You are welcome to apply for coaching, even if you’ve had some coaching with us in the past.
Support from former Senior Pastors through
Vineyard Emeritus
The Emeritus network is a place that facilitates the passing on of wisdom from those experienced in church ministry, whilst honouring those who have handed on the baton of Church leadership.
Emeriti are a continuing resource to the Vineyard Movement and available to serve you and your church.
Support through
Vineyard Network Tribes
These are relational and supportive networks around specific ministries in the local church, such as Worship or Children’s ministry. They support churches in three ways:
Connecting with teams from around the movement, encouraging them, building relationships and linking them with resources and events.
Equipping leaders and teams through training events, and the provision of practical advice and ideas.
Gathering teams for encouragement and events.
