In this short video Stuart Burke explains the importance of warming down your voice after you have been singing, particularly if you will be singing at multiple services in the same day.
“I talk about it like a scale. Once you’ve done your warm up you start at 0 then as you sing you rise up to 1, 2, 3 all the way to around 10 by the end of a set. So your larynx has got to 10 but you can’t ask it to start the next service at 10, because there’s nowhere to go, that’s when you’ll injure yourself. So you’ve got to reset it back to 0.”
